It's time for a

Merry Christmas !

As usual we spent Christmas Eve at Kathy's brother Jay & Val's house. Shown to the left we were joined by Kathy's other brother Gary along with Val's parents, Walt and Shirley Weeden.  The dinner was superb and the smaller than usual number in attendance provided an opportunity to get caught up with everyone.

Christmas Day was spent at my sister Jean and Steve Gallo's home. Joined by my other 2 sisters and their families, we had the usual festive time, though somewhat restrained as we were all saddened about our first Christmas without Pop. 

Kathy surprised me, Laurie, Jean and Nancy with individual Shadow Boxes filled With mementoes of our dad. A beautiful gesture on her part and one that eased the sadness we all felt. No shortage of tears I am afraid.

We also celebrated Allison's 8th birthday - as it falls so close to Christmas.
