Our jaws dropped as we went to Arlington Park and saw

Frontier Force Flying For Florent!

Whew, thats a lot of F*&$%* F's! Our 3 year old gelding Frontier Force, better known to his friends as "Pop" ran a brilliant race this past Saturday as he destroyed 8 contenders in a mile on the lawn at Arlington Park in the 2nd race on the Million Preview Card at Arlington Park.

We were planning a special day at the track long before we knew that Pop was going to run. Dawter Sabrina's family from the South Side were coming up and planning to make a day with us at the track. Then, Ben's Beauty Babe Squeeze Jordan, says it's Daddy's 50th Birthday and they were planning on coming out to the track to celebrate. So all of us came together and cheered on Pop from the Paddock to the Winners Circle. He did not disappoint.

Under the expert riding of leading AP Jockey, Florent Geroux, Pop broke from the rail, laid never out of it in 4th until the stretch and then Florent pushed him through an opening on the Fence where he exploded down the lane, drawing off by 4 lengths to an easy victory!

The Winners Circle was like Days of Old as we all scampered to be in the photo, overjoyed with the feeling of Victory. For Sabrina's & Jordan's family this was their 1st taste of a Winning Race and you could see they were all having a great time. Picture upper left is of Sabrina's family with Arlington Park Track Owner Mr D., while lower left is Jordan with her Dad in front of the Track Jumbotron wishing him a Happy Birthday.

We own Pop in partnership with our great friends Team Block who actually bred this swift beast. We named our side of the partnership Princess Kathy Racing and Her Highness was quick to don the Tiarra for the Winners Circle photo and the rest of the afternoon. Our Kathy was very proud as you can see her posing with sister Jean and family Cherub Thor.

Side Story.....

It's been a poorly kept secret that 2013 Kentucky Derby & Preakness Winner California Chrome is stabled in Chris Block's barn just a few stalls down from our "Pop's" stall. The Chrome was recently flown in from Ascot to run in the storied Arlington Million that will run in late August. The Chrome is every bit the Thoroughbred Rock Star you would expect him to be. He travels with an entourage and he is clearly used to being in Full Command where ever he is.

So, when we went back to visit Pop after the race there was a buzz in the barn, as there must of been 10 people huddled round the Chromesters stall all vying to get there picture taken with the WunderHorse. But it occurred to me - that on THIS day - The Chromester WAS NOT the best horse at the Track - in fact he wasn't even the best horse in the Barn!

I got a great picture of the Princess & Pop observing the Circus surrounding Chrome and captioned it as they must have been saying to each other.....

What a day this was

Back in the Winners Circle!

I Love It!
