On Dec 19,

Kathy Entered the hospital

for surgery to remove an unknown mass in her lower abdomen.  The mass turned out to be a totally Benign Ovarian Cyst.

But boy we were very worried going into the surgery that it was something far more serious.  That's because Kathy's gynecologist said he was not comfortable doing the surgery and wanted to bring in a Oncology Surgeon Specialist. When we heard Oncology we got real scared, real quick.

But our prayers were answered, as when they cut her open, there was no cancer and she will be just fine.

Shown to the left is a picture of Kathy's Young, Hunky, Strapping Surgeon.  This guy is not only good, but a real Stud Muffin Stallion to boot.  I snapped the picture Dec 30 in his office when he removed the staples. Kathy thinks they make a cute couple.  Unfortunately he doesn't play golf.

Below are picture Links, including a Gruesome picture of the cyst being removed DURING the surgery.  ( I snagged the photo from her medical chart and scanned it in.)    Pretty Gross - so don't look if you're squeamish!

Listed Below are some of the many e-mails and notes she received.

Thanks to all for your support and Love!

Rick and Kathy,

Just looked at the surgery pictures - wow and thank God you're okay - this will be a great Christmas and New Year for all of you.

DEAR KATHY,RICK AND SONS. WE HAD NO IDEA OF THE MAGNITUDE OF YOUR  OPERATION. IF WE HAD WE WOULD HAVE DROP BY TO PRAY WITH ALL. WE SINCERLY HOPE FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS THATYOU WILL GET HEALED VERY QUICKLY AND WITH THE LEAST AMOUNT OF DISCOMFORT. WE WILL BE THINKING OF YOU DAILY.

Greetings to the Johnsons!  Hoping that Kathy is home and on her way to a speedy recovery.  I think she deserves a little bell to ring for her every need.....after all, there are 5 'cabana boys' in the household to serve her!

I guess this is about the best possible Christmas news in the circumstances! Our very best wishes to Kathy for a speedy recovery.

Glad to hear Kathy will be okay.    Please give her our best wishes for a quick recovery and Merry Christmas.

I am so happy to hear your news that your wife is going to be fine.  That is just great!   You are right, your Christmas will be special.

Thanks so much for the email update.  So glad to hear that the surgery went well.  Please tell Kathy that we are thinking about her and hoping for a quick recovery! Will stop by to visit Kathy tomorrow (Saturday).  Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you & the boys out

That is the best news !!!    Merry Christmas .

Wonderful news, God Bless and Merry Christmas.

We couldn't be more thrilled...unless, of course, she is still able to wash our dishes after the Christmas Eve party.  Then we're talking best of both worlds.     See you soon, and I'll stop by the hospital tomorrow.

I can assure you Kathy that I have been saying lots of prayers for you and all my thoughts and my prayers will be for you on Thursday. My first hope and wish is that the initial finding will be that the situation is less fraught than expected and that it can be rectified with minimum surgery. I do know that Rick and the Boys will do everything possible to help you and the rest of the family will give you all their support and assistance to help your recovery.

Amen!

Thanks be to god!
