The Golf season officially opened with Kemper Lakes Golf Club Opening Event - The Member Scramble. I was paired with the great Hockey Hall Of fame Chicago Blackhawk Centre

That's right - it was fellow members Jeff, Bill, Stan and myself as we put up a respectable, though not winning, 6 under 66. As a team we played pretty well without a bogey all day. We lipped out more than a couple Birdie putts and with any luck would have sat atop the leader board.
I rode in the cart with Stan and gushingly told him how I had read his book as a boy "Play To Win". I aslo gave him a pop quiz by telling him that me and my Dad had witnessed his 500th goal at the old Chicago Stadium.
My question to Stan? "What goalie gave up Stan's 500th? Goal"
The right answer is Cesare Maniago of the Minnesota North Stars. I can't remember if Stan got it right.

I had a great time talking with Stan about all the memories of the Blackhawk glory years. This guy is a hockey legend - but also just a great guy.
