In Mid May, following the spring thaw, my Father's Headstone was laid where he rests in Memory Gardens, Arlington Heights, Illinois. As you can see, it is bronze with a grey granite base. Placed between the dates of his birth and death is a picture of the Holy Bible that Dad revered.

On the bottom there is an inscription that reads 

"Let us cross over the river and rest under the shade of the trees". 

These were the dying words of one of Dad's personal heroes, Gen Thomas 'Stonewall' Jackson, of the Confederate Army who died in the midst of the Great Civil War in 1863 at age 39. Pop would have liked that.
