On August 22, Red Rabbit Racing expanded it's stable to include an unraced 2 yr old Illinois bred filly,

Thundering Brook

We entered into a 3 way partnership with RRR Southern trainer Neil Pessin and a long time colleague of Neil's named Bob Jaffe. Thundering Brook is by noted sire Thunder Gulch, out of Lady Brook.

As she is so young, she appears rather small but is still growing. She is beautiful with an arresting multi-colored tail. Not much for Carrots yet, but she is quite friendly.

As an Illinois Bred, our intent is to run her in Illinois, so we can take advantage of the Illinois Bred purse bonus that is available to open company races at Illinois tracks. Her pedigree suggests she can go long and would be comfortable on the dirt or turf. Currently training, our hope is to have her ready for her inaugural race at Arlington In Sept, 2010.

In a twist from the usual RRR trainer assignments, Neil will train her at Arlington in the summer, while Chris Block will take her in the fall and spring and be based out of Hawthorne Race Track.

Picture upper left is Brett making a new friend with the Brookster. Lower and to the right is RRR Chief Bean Counter Jean Gallo, writing Neil the check to by our piece. As usual, Jean was instructed to write it for one dollar more than the agreed price, so we can boast that we are the Majority partner.

Directly below is some video footage of a recent breeze. All the way down is a picture of her during that same breeze with Neil's exercise boy Willie in the irons. Check out that tail!
