On a mild December 17, the family gathered at Laurie's house in Palatine to celebrate

Christmas  On

"The Johnson Side" !

A group of 23 came together to celebrate The Christmas Holiday.  Scott and Nina had jetted in from Vegas, Jeanie was up from Sarasota, and all of our family, Laurie's bunch & the Perryman family - including the betrothed Tommy Glasgow- presented themselves at the festivities.

Laurie laid on a great spread, anchored by a rather tasty Honey Baked Ham Waddam, along with some Broasted Chicken that everyone raved about - that I didn't even look at.

Kathy's world famous Cheezy Potatoes were ravaged like a mouthy Democrat at a Trump rally, and other dishes complimented the dinner quite admirably.

Our 3 grandsons, Thor, Ashton, & Baby Calvin Takashi, were the stars on the day - all excited about their many gifts under the tree.   Calvin liked his talking Elmo.  Ashton was thrilled with some damn thing called a "Lanky Box" and Thor seemed to like a "Squishy Pillow" used as a Gaming Accessory.  I probably have this wrong - but we'll go with it for now.

Another highlight was the Grab Bag Gift Exchange celebrated this year.   Poor Bryan had his gifts snatched from him 3 times leaving him sobbing gently in the corner.  Ally grabbed the Shark Wrap from Tina and was as snug as a Great White after a nice dinner.

Even sweet Jordan was overheard spouting some foul language when someone came by eyeing her grab bag gift to steal.

We missed Mom who was back in Sarasota, but she's busy as ever with her celebration preparations for the Holiday at home and at Church.

Best dressed on the occasion was myself, attired in my blue Arlington Park vest adorned with a jaunty Christmas Angel Brooch below the logo.  Everyone else tied for second, with a special mention to Sabrina (as much as it pains me) tailored in a lovely fall tartan ensemble that was just lovely.  Check out the picture right to see my splendour.

All the cousins were having fun playing video games in the basement and just talking with each other.   'Twas a great day.....

Many thanks to Laurie for hosting the Bash

Praise God for his many blessings to this family

Merry Christmas - Our Savior is born!
