Phoenix

this is it - you got it!

On May 7th, The Princess & I jetted off to Phoenix to join sister Laurie, aka "Chief", to take in the Rolling Stones that very evening at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ.  Our plan was to watch the 80 year old lads in Phoenix and then see them again that Saturday night in Vegas.

I picked up a dangerous Rental Car at Sky Harbor airport and luckily replaced it before it killed us all.   Then I proceeded to pickup Chief at a girlhood chum's house and together the 3 of us checked into our hotel.

That very night we saw the Stones and they were great as usual - but....  The crowd was so elderly that they literally sat on their asses the whole night!  How can you do that?   I was up and then down to be polite - but when Keith cut loose with the first notes of Tumblin' Dice, I didn't care that everyone behind me was going to be treated to my dancing, chiseled butt for that song!

As great as that day was - the next day was just as good.  I had arranged with longtime Motorola friends, Chuck Novotny and Billie Trotter to meet them and their spouses for dinner.

I hadn't seen Chuck & Billie for over 30 years and we met at a restaurant named Popo's - suggested by Chuck's wife Kathy - that had the best Chicken Fajita's I've ever had in my life.

Billie's wife Mary was there along with Chuck's wife Kathy and rounding out with The Princess and Chief.  Billie was my Boss at Moto Corporate and Chuck was a Sr Leader who both helped me immensely - when I just came up from The MACC Center in 1981.  I owe them so much for their help & guidance.    We had a great night.

On the Thursday, Chief had insisted that we drive to Vegas via Sedona - which the Princess & I had never seen.  Well, it was well worth it as Sedona is just beautiful.  We lunched there before continuing on to Vegas - and our date with The JACKPOT.

Was great to see Billie & Chuck and their wives!

Was great to see the Stones For The 38th Time!

Was great to be with The Princess & The Chief!
