My Dodge Durango Was Totaled!

My favourite car of 10 years running - still under lifetime warranty, was totaled in a violent crash on I-294 just south of Illinois 173 by an Uninsured ServPro Corporate van.  That's right - UNINSURED SERVPRO Van!

I had just dropped Brad off at O'Hare for an early morning flight and had set out for the Lodge following. I was going about 70 mph in the right lane - when out of nowhere, I got hit in the back - hard!    

The idiot driver hit me so hard that my ballcap flew off.  Luckily, I was able to get to the shoulder and called the State Police. The driver and a second ServPro Van had pulled over about 500 yards ahead.

When the State Police showed up, they talked with the Idiot Driver first and then he walked over to me.  The first thing the Trooper asked is "Are you all right?"  I answered "Yes" even though I was shook.   

Then he asked me, "How do you spell Chicago?"   I thought, what is he doing giving me a Sobriety test?  So I  started to Respond "CH", when he stopped me and said, "No, Look at this."  showing me the Idiot Driver's License that had Chicago spelled "Chicano"!   The Idiot had given him a fake license!  The Idiot Driver got all the tickets.

I had the car towed to a place where they estimated the damage to be $15,000 against the car's market value which was $12,000.   So totaled it was. 

Don't user ServPro - EVER! 

I'm Going To miss that car!
