On the night of November 13, the family made tracks for Hillcrest Elementary school in Antioch to get great seats for
Thor's School Recital!
Thor, our eldest Grandchild - now a whopping 10 years old - is a 5th grader at Hillcrest where he is an absolutely stunning student.
He showed off vast Musical talent that he must have received from his Maternal Grandpa Tony and from the Johnson side of his blood.
In this concert, Thor sang throughout while playing a number of instruments including the Guitar, Drums and A Skiffle! Always on the beat and in tune, this boy got Grandpa crying early and often.
The students composed most of the material they performed this evening - a prodigious achievement in and of itself.
My favourite tune was "Yippee Ky Yay" which led off the recital. 2nd fave was a Mambo tune that I have to keep practicing if I'm to sing it with Thor.
Huge family turnout anchored by Sabrina Bryan and Ashton (who brought down the house at HIS Kindergarten recital last year with "Here Come's The Sun"). Kathy, Brett, Tina, Brad & I were all there, cheering him on, with my handkerchief at the ready.
Well done thor! You were Great!
