Kathy and I were overjoyed to be invited to St Peter's Lutheran Church in Schaumburg to watch 

Grandson Calvin Singing at Church!

Arriving in a gentle, pretty snow shower on March 14, we were excited to see Calvin and cutie sister Addie Girl as they arrived with Jordan & Ben for Saturday afternoon worship.   

The  service featured a baptism and a short concert from Calvin's Pre-School class which always packs 'em in at Church.

When it was time for Cal's Class to sing, they all congregated in the front of the Sanctuary and belted out 2 songs.   One was called "Deep And Wide" and an old favourite I used to sing at Trinity's VBS in the 1960's called "I'm Going To Let It Shine"!  Both songs featured dramatic Arm and Hand gestures that Cal delivered masterfully.

 We are so happy that Jordan & Ben have enrolled him in a Christian Pre-School.  He is learning his faith at such a young age and already living out his Baptism.

A Cute Story....    A week or so before the concert Ben & Jordan and family were at our house for the afternoon.  We ordered Pizza from Lou Malnati's and while we were at the table asked Cal if he would like to say the blessing.  Well, instead of a table prayer we know he knows, Cal launches into The Lord's Prayer, delivering it in it's entirety.  Well, I can tell you that Grandpa was crying before he got done with the 2nd petition....

Addie Girl was absolutely perfect in Church, watching her Brother - knowing SHE will be the STAR in just a couple more years. 

Though it was a short visit, we loved seeing Cal and Addie Girl. Our Grandkids are OUR JOY! 

 

Way to go Cal - You were awesome!
