Though it's a milestone she dreaded reaching, it's time to celebrate our Elderly Princess Kathy's....
Oh the horror, grief, shock and shame this Dowager must feel. 65! On Medicare! Glasses now required to read her prescription bottles! Kindle font so large she can only fit 5 words on a screen! Wrinkles that appear daily out of nowhere!
And her biggest fear.... Will she able to retain the interest of her fabulous, stunningly handsome Husband? (Sadly, the Jury's still out on that one.)
So 2 days shy of her Big Day, our family gathered for a Surprise Birthday Brunch at PinStripes in Northbrook.
But at precisely 11:05am, she arrived in the Room to shouts of SURPRISE that she barely heard given her age related hearing infirmity.
All her Boys were there along with their wives. Her brother Gary was there along with wife Jaaan and sister-in-law Val. Laurie and Nancy & Randy were there. But most importantly all 4 of her Grandchildren were there as you can see beaming in the picture above left.
Also in picture upper left you can see the fabulous gift that they gave Grandma. A Nintendo Switch Video Console! Just what she wanted! NOT! But these devious rascals now have a video game they can play at our house when they are over. Great Work Grandkids!

By 1:15 all the festivities were done and it was time to say our goodbyes.
You are nothing short of God's best blessing to me. For 43 years we have been together and each day has been a gift. Thank you for taking a chance on me back in 1985. Thank you for raising our kids so well when I was working in Europe so much. Thank you for taking care of my Dad those last few years with such love and caring. I don't say it nearly enough but I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
