Leaving at 5am On May 31st, Bryan, Sabrina, Ashton, Brett, & me, embarked on the 730 mile drive to Hutchinson, Kansas to deliver...

Thor To His 2nd Year Of Space Camp At The Kansas Cosmosphere!

Packed into the Santa Fe, with a bulging luggage carrier on the roof, we plotted a speed run to the Cosmosphere so Thor could report for Camp bright and early the next morn. Ashton, sitting under the moon roof, was assigned the job of notifying us if he spied any luggage bIow off the car and tumble down the highway.

I  had secured a VRBO home for us 2 blocks from the Cosmosphere.  The house was over 100 years old and looked every day of it.  It was a dump. The first morning, Thor reported that he saw a Mouse in the Kitchen.  Later that day, 2 additional sightings of the rodent were observed.  Arguing with VRBO, we departed the MouseHouse for a local hotel as no one was in the mood to live with rodents.

This was Thor's 2nd year of Space Camp and the theme was "Starship Earth"  The last night the class stayed overnight at the Cosmosphere.  Thor loved it as much as the 1st year.

Keen to go for his 3rd year next summer, that Camp will be for a week - all overnight. Also, Ashton will be eligible to attend the 1st year Camp.  He's already excited about going.

While Thor was at Camp, Sabrina worked remotely out of the hotel.

Brett & I hung out all the time at the Cosmosphere - me at the V1/V2 exhibit and Brett guarding Jim Lovell's Odyssey.

Bryan and Ashton visited the Zoo, went to the Amish village, had gourmet lunches at the Cosmosphere and had a great time.  We all took in Dr Goddard's Lab at the Cosmosphere where we all re-learned the principles of Rocketry.

Thor graduated with flying colors and even won an award for doing something stellar - I can't recall what.  But I had to pay him a 2 dollar bill as Grandpa started crying (AGAIN) as he graduated.  I am so proud of this boy and love him so much.

The week ripped by really quickly and before we knew it it was time for the 12 hour ride home!

Congratulations Thor on being such a Great astronaut!

Praise God For This Boy!
