On the evening of Feb 3, Kathy cheered on her longtime friend and employer, Claudia Boyle, as she received 

A Shining Star Award!

The city of Mt Prospect, IL recognized a number of local heroes at an awards banquet held at the Olive Palace Banquets on Rand Road in Mt Prospect. 

Claudia owns and operates Van Driel's Medical Supply in Mt Prospect.   Kathy has been doing their Medicare paperwork since they've been in business.   

Claudia took over the business from her parents Max & Irmi Ullrich - when she moved it from downtown Mt Propect to the current store a mile or 2 away.  Kathy has worked for this family for over 40 years!

In 2007, Claudia's father Max won this same award and Kathy and I had attended the Ceremony.   Max would have been Oh So Proud to see his daughter do the same.   Truly a great family.

Among Claudia's guests was Beth Rogala, who introduced me to Kathy way back in 1983!  Both Kathy & Beth worked at Van Driel's and had been doing so since they were in High School.  I am sure the 2 of them had a lot of fun catching up on all the news!  Love you Bethina!
